CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE

I am truly honored to be elected as Chairman for the 35th HKIE Gas & Energy Division for the 2025-2026 term. Your trust and support reflect our collective commitment to advancing the gas and energy sectors in Hong Kong. I would also like to express my gratitude to Ir Jason Fan for his outstanding contributions in establishing a strong foundation for our division.

As we look ahead, we have many exciting opportunities this year. I am committed to fostering teamwork, creativity, and high standards among the division.

During my term, I will focus on promoting the HKIE Gas & Energy Division in educational institutions, showcasing the excellent career paths available within our industry. We will organize training programs and workshops featuring industry leaders and global academics who will share their valuable experiences. These initiatives will help our members continue to grow in their careers.

I also aim to strengthen our partnerships with other divisions within HKIE and with professional organizations in the Greater Bay Area. By sharing knowledge and collaborating, we can definitely make a significant impact in the industry.

A key goal during my term will be to support the development of cleaner energy solutions to combat global warming. We aspire to help reduce emissions in Hong Kong through our expertise, particularly by promoting hydrogen as a clean energy source. This transition is essential for lowering carbon emissions and enhancing energy security. We will prioritize the development and implementation of hydrogen technologies, exploring partnerships and creating forums for knowledge exchange.

I believe that by working together, we can achieve great things. I look forward to collaborating with each of you to enhance our division and strengthen its role in the gas and energy sector.
