CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE

Dear esteemed members of the Gas & Energy Division,

I am deeply honored and humbled to have been elected as the Chairman of Gas & Energy Division for the 2024-2025 term. Your trust and support are a testament to our shared commitment to advancing the gas and energy sectors in Hong Kong. I am excited to embark on this journey with you, as we work together to shape a sustainable and prosperous energy future.

The coming year presents both challenges and opportunities for our division. As we navigate this evolving landscape, I am committed to fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within our ranks.

To this end, my chairmanship will focus on three key initiatives:

Inspiring the Next Generation: We will actively promote the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers Gas & Energy Division to schools, showcasing the exciting possibilities of a career in this vital field. By engaging young minds, we can cultivate the next generation of engineers who will drive innovation and progress.

Enhancing Professional Development: We will organize comprehensive training programs and workshops, covering the latest advancements and best practices in gas and energy technologies. This will empower our members with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their careers and contribute to the industry's growth.

Expanding our Horizons: We will strengthen collaborations with other divisions within the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and institutions in the Greater Bay Area. By fostering partnerships and knowledge exchange, we can leverage collective expertise, explore new frontiers, and enhance our impact on a regional scale.

I am confident that by working together, we can achieve remarkable things. I look forward to collaborating with each one of you to elevate our division to new heights and solidify its position as a leader in the gas and energy sector.
