Activity
Highlights:
To celebrate the HKIE’s 40th Anniversary, Gas &
Energy Division has organized a special event “Hong Kong Engineering Wonders”
Photo Competition (「鴻圖華構‧香港工程奇觀」攝影大賽) from 1 March to 1 April 2016. The objective of the photo
competition was to arouse interests of general public to appreciate the
engineering masterpieces in their daily lives. An encouraging number of photo submissions
have been received within a month. The campaign has inspired the local
community to pause and marvel at the diversity, beauty and precision of these
projects as well as to appreciate the critical roles engineers have played in
developing the city and its economy. We were very delighted to have invited the
HKIE’s president Ir. Chan Chi Chiu to present the prizes and awards to the
winners at Gas & Energy Division’s Annual Dinner on 10 May 2016.
