Event Highlight
This webinar aims to provide the attendee with an
awareness of gas safety and an understanding of the general requirements as
laid down in relevant gas safety regulations in the People’s Republic of China.
A detailed summary of the characteristics of the gas, storage and correct use will be
covered. Participants will learn about the inherent dangers of using
gases and to control them safely. By case sharing, the audience would gain an understanding
of the importance of ventilation to gas burning equipment, basic flue principals, the proper care of gas equipment and the procedures necessary to create a productive and safe environment.
The participants would also be aware of the qualifications which are required by contractors to undertake related gas works in China.
About the Speakers
Mr. LAM Ming Wing has
served the gas industry for 37 years. He has extensive experience in gas company corporate management and operation safety. Mr. Lam was previously the General Manager of Wuhan Natural Gas Company Limited (concurrently the Regional
General Manager – Hubei in Towngas China Company Limited), Regional General Manager – Southwest in Towngas China Company Limited, and General Manager of Xi’an Qinhua Natural Gas Company Limited (concurrently the Regional General
Manager – Shaanxi in Towngas China Company Limited) Currently, Mr. Lam is the Senior Vice President of Towngas China Company Limited and his expertise holds up corporate safety and risk management.
Mr. Lam joined the Hong Kong and China Gas Company since 1983. He engaged in a wide array of functions, covering pipeline network operation and project management. Beyond Towngas, he was appointed as the Chief Instructor of Gas Industry Training Centre in Hong Kong Vocation Training Council and groomed the gas professional training in Hong Kong. In 1995, Mr. Lam was the first batch of senior managers to develop and expand the Mainland China business, thus he has built a comprehensive understanding of gas safety management in China.
