Event Highlight
The new Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) unit, D1, which is the first H-class gas turbine unit built in Hong Kong, has adopted the state-of-the-art technology and able to achieve a thermal efficiency over 60%. The unit has already commissioned in 2020 and it has marked a key milestone in the decarbonization journey both for the power industry as well as Hong Kong.
About the Speaker
Ir Fan Chang, Ir Kevin Lau, Ir Ken Fong
Mr. Chang, Mr. Lau and Mr. Fong are Chartered Engineers in UK, members of The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) as well as The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE). They are the respective Department Heads in the Planning, Operation and Project areas of the Generation Business in CLP Power Hong Kong.
