Programme Highlight
With a view to enhancing the biogas production from sewage treatment and contributing to tackle the issue of food waste in Hong Kong, the webinar covers the background, development and implementation of the initiative of food waste and sewage sludge co-digestion in Hong Kong. The pilot trial set up at the Tai Po Sewage Treatment Works managed by the Drainage Services Department which aims at exploring the technical feasibility of applying such co-digestion technology in Hong Kong will be introduced in the webinar. The speaker will share the innovation applied in the pilot trial and the merits of co-digestion by comparing the digestion of food waste and sewage sludge separately from the point of view of a sustainable and green city.
