Event Highlight
This seminar will discuss
the use of AI technology in the field of Retro-Commissioning (RCx) to optimise
air conditioning systems. Air-conditioning systems are intricate and subject to
constant changes, involving numerous sensors, equipment, and components. The
increasing complexity makes it difficult to manually identify faulty equipment
and energy inefficiencies, which places a heavy burden on facilities
management. To address this challenge, the Automated Fault Detection &
Diagnosis (AFDD) based-RCx approach employs big data analytics to develop
automated diagnostic algorithms that cover the entire process. These algorithms
enable the detection of faults, investigation of underlying issues, and
provision of appropriate solutions. By implementing AFDD, facility managers can
proactively address problems before they significantly impact equipment
performance or necessitate emergency repairs. The ultimate goal of this
AI-driven approach is to achieve optimal performance and energy efficiency in
air conditioning systems.
