Notice of the 34th Annual General Meeting (AGM)
NOTICE
IS HEREBY GIVEN that the 34th Annual General Meeting of the Gas & Energy Division
will be held on Thursday, 25 April 2024 at 6:30pm at Hotel Icon, 17
Science Museum Road, Tsim Sha Tsui East, Kowloon for the following purposes:
1.
To receive and confirm the
Minutes of the 33rd AGM.
2.
To receive and adopt the Annual Report
of the Division for Session 2023/2024.
3.
To receive and adopt the Financial
Statement of the Division for Session 2023/2024.
4.
To elect the Chairman and Ordinary
Members of the Division Committee for Session 2024/2025.
5.
To elect the Council
Member (Division) for Sessions 2024/2025 and 2025/2026.
In case of adjournment of the AGM, members of the Division shall
check on the Institution’s website at http://www.hkie.org.hk
and the Division’s website at http://eg.hkie.org.hk
of the revised venue, time and date for the adjourned AGM.

Nominations for Division
Chairman, Ordinary Members and Council Member (Division)
Division Chairman
The outgoing Division Committee
has decided to nominate Ir Jason FAN Kai To for election as the Chairman for Session 2024/2025.
No other nomination has been received from members by the nomination
deadline.
Ordinary Members - under Clause
7.2(c) of the Division Rules
The outgoing Division Committee has decided to opt for the maximum of 14 Ordinary
Members, and five Ordinary Members in the Committee shall retire by end of the Session, namely Ir Jason FAN Kai
To, Ir Vincent MA Wing Lung, Ir Ivan LAW Wai Wing, Ir Francis LEUNG Hung Chi (Chee) and Ir Eric WONG Lui.
Following the retirement of the above Ordinary Members, there are five vacancies
for the Ordinary Members.
The Division Committee has decided
to nominate the following five candidates for the Ordinary Members for a three-year term: Ir
Vincent MA Wing Lung, Ir Ivan LAW Wai Wing, Ir Eric WONG Lui, Ir Derek
MAN Lee Yeung and Ir Eric
WONG Leung Chiu.
No other nomination has been
received from members by the nomination deadline.
Ordinary Members - under Clause 7.2(d) of the Division Rules (i.e.
Ordinary Member of the Committee who is of 35 years of age or below)
Ir Winky LUI Ka Wing and Miss Priscilla WONG Nok Hei shall retire by end of the
Session. There are two vacancies for the
Ordinary Members. The Division Committee
has decided to nominate Miss Susan CHOW Shuen
and Ir Mandy LAI Man
Na for the Ordinary
Members for a three-year term.
No other nomination has been
received from members by the nomination deadline.
Council Member
(Division)
The outgoing Division Committee has decided to nominate Ir Charles CHAN Hing
Lung for election as Council Member (Division) for
Sessions 2024/2025 and 2025/2026.
No other nomination has been
received from members by the nomination deadline.
